Whether you are travelling as a family or as a group of friends, La Barauderie offers luxury accommodation in the Loire valley within our seven-acre exclusive, private and authentic domaine. Set in rolling countryside La Barauderie offers beautiful accommodation, space to explore and relax and so much more.
La Barauderie is an ancient hamlet built over two water sources dating to before the earliest records in France. As well as beautiful holiday homes, the hamlet retains all the character from these origins including the rudimentary mill, pigonnier, bread oven, wine press and terrain. Better still, all these features are yours to visit, explore and enjoy providing unique spaces and framing spectacular views wherever you are in the domaine.
We are situated in the natural park of Anjou-Touraine along with some of the best vineyards in France, surrounded by the famous Chateaux of the Loire and the homes of kings, philosophers and writers. La Barauderie is close to everything the wonderful Loire valley has to offer yet provides an exclusive and private escape a world away from the bustle and crowds.
The domaine’s buildings are centred on two enclosed landscaped courtyards overlooking our valley and the regional forest beyond us, offering privacy for grown-ups and a contained space for little ones to run about and play. The accommodation is split between two sumptuously furnished properties, one able to accommodate up to 8 people and the second 6 people in absolute luxury with en-suite rooms throughout.
Within the courtyards, La Barauderie has a large heated salt water swimming pool with wooden sun loungers and a spacious outside dining terrace with lovely views across the valley where the sun sets in the evening.

Throughout the domaine you will find perfect spaces to eat and relax as a group indoors and outdoors.
Our spectacular dining terrace has more than enough room for everyone to sit and share amazing times while looking out across the valley. By the pool you will find a variety of seating and loungers both in shade and in the sun which means that everyone can enjoy time by the pool together.
In the larger house there is a big dining table and comfy sofas and seating.
While you stay with us you can take advantage of our unique meal offering with spectacular meals are cooked over live fire by Barbecue champion of France.
From the sky
Beyond the courtyards, you can enjoy the extensive grounds of La Barauderie’s domaine. The large garden leads down to a small lake with a rowing boat for the adventurous. Past the lake, you can explore our orchards and meadow and the stream that runs alongside them. Separately, you can also enjoy our potager, the wooded chicken enclosure, the herb garden and a variety of other outdoor spaces with sun and shade for all. For little ones (and the young at heart) there is a play area with swings, a slide and a trampoline.
Throughout the courtyards and gardens there are a variety of seating and relaxation areas that means that whether you are looking for space to enjoy with friends and family or some quiet contemplation there is more than enough room for everyone.
La Barauderie's space would be wasted on adults and we aim to give your little ones the same level of experience as our full sized guests. Aside the pool and the space to run around there is a games room with table tennis and table football, a trampoline and access to bikes to enjoy and explore the landscape around us.
We can also provide a full range of equipment for younger children including cots and high chairs. Each of the houses has bath rooms.
